Education Assistant and Community Support
The Education Assistant and Community Support program includes both theoretical and practical applications for working with people who have disabilities, across the lifespan. The core and specialty courses provide students with the skills and knowledge to work in entry level positions in community settings with people who have disabilities, and as educational assistants in the school system.

Health Care Assistant
This program is offered annually at the tiwšɛmawtxʷ campus and is designed to provide the student with theory and skills required to become a caregiver. The major focus is in providing care for people experiencing changes in their functional abilities.

The Early Childhood Education and Care program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work with young children and their families in child care settings.

Community Mental Health Worker
Health Sciences and Human Services’ online Community Mental Health Worker certificate program provides students with an opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to enter a rewarding career supporting individuals with mental health and addiction issues. Courses are held online for 6 months, followed by an 8 week face-to-face practicum which may take place in students’ local community.
